Deviceoriented User Interface
Receive and transmit station with DVB-Encoder, Modem and Transceiver on the transmit
chain and two IRD on the receive chain as deviceoriented GUI. A double click on the
device symbol opens the corresponding device window.
Taskoriented User Interface
The same Receive and transmit station but this time with an taskoriented GUI.
The operator selects the IRD on the left and configures the receive parameters
on the right. The transmit parameters are configurable in the lower section where
also the current status of the transmit chain is shown.
Device Screens
All Device Screens (regardless of the equipment type) have the same look and feel. The icons at the upper margin of the window are used to activate different functions:

Event- and alarm report
The Event Report window lets you generate filtered reports from the event database maintained by the system.
This database contains all messages issued by the VLC or MNC. You can filter the events by the following
criteria:
- Time (determine a period)
- Event-Typ (e.g. show only faults)
- Device (in this example SITE-SW)
- Full-text search in the event messages
Interface configuration
This tool assigns the communication protocols and the equipment type to
the interfaces (e.g. serial or Ethernet).
