sat-nms IO-Panel

The sat-nms IO-Panel is used to enable the connection of alarm contacts, wave guide switches and other switches or configuration ports. This is done with a programmable logic controller connected via a serial interface with the sat-nms System. The interface provides potential-free, opto-coupled inputs and relay output contacts.

The relay contacts of the devices are connected through the sat-nms Alarm Interface Module E1 and waveguide or coaxial switches are connected through the sat-nms Waveguide Switch Interface Module H1. These interface modules allow an easy cabling. All the equipment can be connected directly because the power supply is already included into the modules.

The following circuit diagram shows the connection of a waveguide switch and an alarm contact from a L-Band distributer.

The IO-Panel and the Interface Modules are mounted on a DIN-rail and the IO-Panel contains a special software to enable the communication with the M&C System.

SatService offers the IO-Panel in the following configuration by default:

Other configurations are available on request with up to 64 inputs and 64 output per sat-nms IO-Panel. Furthermore it is possible to connect multible IO-Panels to one M&C system only limited by the number of available RS232 ports on the MNC or VLC. up

sat-nms Alarm Interface Module E1

e1 The sat-nms Alarm interface module is an interface converter with a visual control display. It converts the 10 pin MIL-Input cable of an FP0 Unit to a 2x8 pin. Phoenix contact terminal block. The module contains the necessary connectors for the external power supply and a green control LED. The module is protected by a 500mA fuse. The eight contact circuits are connected with a red LED to view the current status of the circuit. The LED is on if the circuit is closed.

sat-nms Waveguide-Switch Interface Module H1

h1 The sat-nms Waveguide interface module is an interface converter to up to 4 waveguide switches with potential separation and control display. It converts the 10 pin MIL Input and Output connector of a FP0 unit to a 3x8 pin Phoenix contact terminal block. The FP0 outputs are electrically isolated with relays from the connector X2. The module contains the necessary connectors for the external power supply and a green control LED. The module is protected by a 500mA fuse. The red LED's show the current position of the waveguide switches.
